NAW Promotions was formerly known as Northern Athletic Wear and Advertising, but in September of 2008 it was bought by Brett and Debbie Nichol. Brett worked at Northern Athletic Wear and when it became available for purchase we decided to dive right in. Brett and Debbie are both from Grande Prairie and grew up here, so we felt that we had a certain advantage as we both had great roots in the community.
The first year of business was definitely filled with trials and tribulations. We wanted to implement better customer service and focus on customer care. We were also trying to learn everything about this new and strange company and even more importantly we were in the midst of expanding our small family.
Our newest member came on November 24th just after the sale of the business was finally settled.Harper can often be found wandering around the premises of NAW Promotions along with her older sister Noel. So if you stop in and see them around be sure to say "hi".
After owning the business for a year, we decided that we wanted to make it our own. We wanted to do it in subtle ways. We started by dropping "Northern Athletic Wear and Advertising". We felt that the name was pidgeon holing us into athletic wear. We felt that this was a business that offered such a wide range of products that we couldn't just focus on one aspect. We offer so much more that just athletic wear, we offer a great variety of clothing, stationary, drinkware, awards, safety kits, tools, magnets, athletics, cheering gear, bags, poker sets, playing cards, lanyards... the list is almost endless.
Recently we revamped our business cards and tried to take this opportunity to list some of the items we can put your name on.
We are proud of the way we operate. We feel that we are a business built on integrity, hard work, and customer care. We are doing our best to build a company that our kids will be proud of owning one day.
